Jason
Meyers oversees all editorial processes and staff and guides the editorial
strategy of
Carol Wilson
returned to Telephony in 2004 as editor-at-large. She has been covering
the telecommunications industry for the past 20 years. Over that period of time,
she has been a founding editor of two magazines--Inter@ctive Week and The Net
Economy--as well as a news and information Web site, Broadband Edge. Carol began
her telecom career as news editor at Telephony in 1985, becoming Editor
three years later.
Vince Vittore covers the
access, switching and transport technology sectors for Telephony’s print
and online publications. He also contributes wireless content to Wireless
Review, hosts Telephony’s Access Edge e-newsletter and helps guide
content development for both magazines. Vittore has more than 13 years covering
the telecom industry. He joined Telephony in 1997 as New Media Editor,
covering the Internet access and video communications.
Nikki
Golden supervises the weekly editorial production processes and staff of
Telephony, Wireless Review and Mobile Radio Technology. She
also supervises department coverage and edits content for technology sections.
Golden rejoins Telephony and Wireless Review after being group
managing editor of several residential construction magazines. Prior to that,
she was deputy managing editor for Telephony and Wireless
Review.
Dan O’Shea oversees the news department of Telephony, writes features
and department content for Telephony and Wireless Review,
contributes news and other content to TelephonyOnline, and helps guide
the content strategy of both Telephony and Wireless Review. O’Shea has more than 10 years of telecom journalism experience. He
joined Telephony in 1993 as Assistant News Editor, covering the
long-distance sector and emerging data access technology.
Chip Howard
oversees the online publication of TelephonyOnline, WirelessReview.com and
MRTmag.com. Howard most recently served as Managing Editor for the print
versions of those products--Telephony, Wireless Review and
Mobile Radio Technology. Howard formerly was
Tim McElligott joined the editorial staff of
Telephony in 1999 following a 14-year career in the telecom service
provider sector. As a Senior Editor for Telephony and Wireless Review,
McElligott oversees coverage of operations support systems and other network
software, in addition to intelligent networking and test and measurement. He
contributes news, technology articles and features to Telephony and
TelephonyOnline and is a regular contributor to Wireless Review.
Ed Gubbins covers the optical networking
technology beat for Telephony and TelephonyOnline and is a regular
contributor to Wireless Review. Gubbins joined Telephony in 2001 after a
two-year tenure at Upstart, a sister publication to Telephony,
where he covered the competitive local exchange carrier industry. He has covered
a variety of topics, including legal and regulatory matters, switching and
access technologies and various aspects of the wireless market.
Kevin Fitchard covers the wireless
beat for Telephony and TelephonyOnline. He also is a regular contributor to Wireless Review. Fitchard has worked
for the telecom division of Primedia Business Magazines for three years. He
began as a Senior News Editor for TelecomClick in 2000 and later became a roving
correspondent for multiple publications, including Wireless Review,
Telephony, MRT and RF Design. He joined the Telephony
staff full-time in 2001.
Stephanie Dell assists with the editing and production of the
print and online editions of Telephony and Wireless Review. She
writes Telephony’s “Wavelengths” column and is an occasional writer for
Wireless Review as well as TelephonyOnline. Prior to joining the
publications in 2003, she was associate editor at Fire Chief magazine,
where she covered fire service news and legislation, coordinated online news
efforts and launched a weekly e-newsletter.
Sheila Schirz is the senior art director for Telephony, Wireless
Review and Mobile Radio Technology. Prior to joining the editorial
staff in 2001, she was the art director for Global Telephony magazine.
Upon graduation, she worked at a publication group in Columbus, Ohio, starting
in weekly newspaper production and leaving as a magazine advertising designer.
She is a member of The Society for Publication Designers.
